The livestock guardian dog integration programme and wolf conservation were highlighted in an extensive article about the Cão de Castro Laboreiro, published in the February edition of the dog breeding magazine "Cães & Companhia". In this article, authored by the Clube do Cão de Castro Laboreiro, a partner of Grupo Lobo, the main results relating to the Cão de Castro Laboreiro dogs integrated by the Grupo Lobo technical team into flocks and herds in the northern region of Portugal were presented, with particular emphasis on the assessment of their performance and their efficiency in protecting livestock.
