Ecotourism is a low‑impact form of nature tourism that contributes to the preservation of species and habitats through monetary contributions to conservation or the creation of income for local communities, so that the community values and thus protects its wildlife heritage for future generations.
The Lobo Group develops several ecotourism programs aimed at promoting the natural and cultural heritage associated with the wolf and raising public awareness of the conservation of this endangered predator in our country. These programs aim to disseminate accurate and up‑to‑date information about the wolf to the general public, using scientific rigor, while offering unique leisure opportunities in locations of great scenic beauty and high cultural interest.
Assumptions of the Ecotourism Program:
- To actively contribute to the conservation of the Iberian wolf;
- Respect the wolf and its habitat, avoiding any kind of disturbance;
- To provide accurate and reliable information about the wolf;
- Respect local communities, their customs and traditions;
- To promote local crafts, gastronomy and accommodation;
- To promote the local economy;
- Develop activities with low environmental impact;
- Avoid mass tourism;
- To promote sustainable tourism.
