Most of the CRLI area, initially forested with eucalyptus, is currently, and mostly, forested with native species, primarily of the genus Quercus. Annually, the undergrowth is cleared from the planted areas and, when necessary, the plantations are thinned, taking into account the greater success of their development and also the reduction of fire risk.
