The book Espejo Lobo, written by Concha López Llamas, can be considered a work of ecological literature in which fiction interweaves with reality. This book, produced by the Spanish association Ecologistas en Acción, brings together 14 stories that give us a global portrait of the threats facing the Iberian wolf. These stories are accompanied by texts from specialists in the study and conservation of the wolf in an Iberian context, providing insight into the current situation of the wolf in different regions of the Peninsula. One of the stories reflects the challenges of cross‑border management of the species, focusing in particular on the wolf population south of the Douro, and is accompanied by a text with results obtained during the LIFE MedWolf project, which highlights this reality and the need to continue supporting livestock farmers in improving livestock protection, mitigating conflicts and facilitating the establishment of wolf packs in the border region.
