Combining beauty and functionality is highly desirable in our livestock guardian dog breeds. Dogs integrated into the Livestock Guardian Dog Programme are frequently very well evaluated at canine exhibitions. This was again the case at the XXI Monographic Canine Exhibition of the Serra da Estrela Dog, held in Covilhã on 1 May, where 3 short‑haired variety dogs integrated into sheep flocks in the Pinhel and Trancoso regions were present. Farrusco (JavesGL) received an Excellent classification in the open class, while Farrusca (MarofaGL), competing in the intermediate class, received an Excellent and the CAC‑QC.
