Along the pastoral trails, in wolf and goatherd country, was the theme of this walk in Serra da Cabreira, organised by Grupo Lobo and the Clube do Cão de Castro Laboreiro, and developed by Montes de Encanto. As usual, the walks begin with accompanying a flock, watched over by a shepherd and guarded by livestock guardian dogs integrated into the Livestock Guardian Dog Programme. On the first day of the walk, a warm spring day, the working dogs were 2 handsome Castro Laboreiro males. The walk also included visits to a wolf trap and the Ecomuseu do Barroso, and of course, meals rich in local gastronomy.
