At the request of the Alvarenga Primary School, following a suggestion from one of the livestock farmers participating in the Grupo Lobo livestock guardian dog project, two talks about the Iberian wolf and livestock guardian dogs were organised for around 80 pupils at that school, aged between 6 and 9 years old. At the end of the talks, a surprise guest appeared — Nique, an 8‑month‑old short‑haired Serra da Estrela Mountain Dog puppy, whose natural friendliness won over everyone present.
