The German city of Goslar hosted, from 16 to 19 September, the international conference Pathways Europe 2018, focused on the importance of human dimensions in the conservation of terrestrial and marine wildlife. The main results of the Livestock Guardian Dog Programme were presented, particularly those obtained in the LIFE MedWolf Project, with the use of livestock guardian dogs in protecting flocks and herds in extensive grazing systems. The results generated considerable interest among participants during the poster presentation session. This participation also enabled the establishment of contacts with other researchers, technicians and managers from different countries, not only European but also from other continents. This was made possible through the collaboration initiated with Associação Natureza Portugal/WWF, a partner of the LIFE EuroLargeCarnivores Project that co‑organised the Conference.
