At the invitation of the organisers, two Grupo Lobo researchers participated in the Village Forum, part of the Festival Vozes de Magaio, organised by the Associação Aldeias de Magaio and Binaural/Nodar, held in Serra da Arada on 23 July. At the Forum, aimed at shepherds, local residents and visitors, the presence of wolves in the region was discussed, along with some myths about the species' bioecology, its impact on livestock, and a brief presentation of the Livestock Guardian Dog Programme. Following the presentation, several shepherds expressed interest in livestock guardian dogs, and the possibility of introducing dogs into the village communal flock was discussed.
