Grupo Lobo was delighted to receive the invitation from the Castro Laboreiro Dog Club to attend the 1st edition of the Castro Laboreiro Dog Specialty Show in Arcos de Valdevez, held on 5 October as part of the 1st National Dog Show of that town, organised by the Arcos de Valdevez Municipal Council and ARDAL (Association for Regional Development of Alto Lima). Due to logistical constraints, only 3 of the 5 initially registered livestock guardian dogs were able to participate, coming from goat flocks in the Alvão and Barroso mountain ranges, where they had been placed by Grupo Lobo. Linda (SamardãGL) finished 1st in the Junior class with a Good classification, due to limping on one paw. Leão (Aquiles) finished 2nd in the Intermediate class with an Excellent classification, while Max (Adónis das Pedras do Caio) obtained an Excellent classification and was considered the best specimen of the breed at the Show and one of the 6 best in Group 2 at the National Show finals.
