The awarding of the BES Biodiversity Prize to Grupo Lobo, recognising the work developed in the Livestock Guardian Dog Programme, prompted a feature on the Biosfera programme, on RTP2, on 22 August. The report shows some Cão de Castro Laboreiro livestock guardian dogs integrated by Grupo Lobo into flocks in the Serra do Alvão, with a focus on Bobi, a juvenile male who accompanies his goats to the mountain every day. His owner, one of the livestock farmers participating in the Livestock Guardian Dog Programme, and the researcher co‑responsible for its development, Silvia Ribeiro, are also interviewed, sharing their experience and explaining the reasons behind the success of these dogs.
