Following participation in the final Symposium of the LIFE MedWolf Project, a visit was organised to a cashmere goat farm located near Radda in Chianti (Italy). This property of Nora Kravis is the only one in Europe with Wildlife Friendly certification for coexistence with wolves, granted by the Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network (WFEN) in 2014. This certification recognises the use of non‑lethal farming and grazing practices, giving consumers the opportunity to reward producers for the extra cost and effort involved and thus contribute to wildlife conservation. The property has around 12 Maremma‑Abruzzese livestock guardian dogs, which have successfully protected around 250 cashmere goats from wolf packs established in the surrounding area.
